Team-based learning allows students, teachers and counselors to engage in collaborative learning in small groups that builds leadership, negotiation and decision-making skills. The Association of University Programs in Health Administration (AUPHA) is a global network of colleges, universities, faculties, individuals and organizations dedicated to improving health by promoting excellence in health administration education. strength. AUPHA promotes excellence and innovation in healthcare management education, research and practice by providing member programs with opportunities to learn from each other, influence practice, and promote value of health care management education. AUPHA’s membership includes the leading Bachelor’s and Master’s programs in health administration/health management education in the United States and Canada, as well as more than 100 international programs of health administration and allied health organizations worldwide.
The National Center for Healthcare Leadership (NCHL) is a non-profit organization that works to ensure that there is high quality, relevant and accountable leadership to deliver quality patient care in the 21st century. Academic Calendar > American University Of Health Sciences
The UCLA Innovation Fund is a proof-of-concept program designed to facilitate the commercialization of advanced technologies owned by UCLA. Focusing on advanced therapeutics, medical/diagnostic devices and digital health technologies, the UCLA Innovation Fund accelerates technologies from idea to market, bridging the funding gap between academia and industry. Funding to support commercialization activities not supported by basic research grants will range from $50,000 to $150,000 per project. Projects with significant commercial potential can apply for a funding exemption of up to $200,000.
The technologies will be divided into two areas: Therapeutics and MedTech. The MedTech track consists of medical devices, diagnostics and digital health projects. Completed applications will be reviewed by both an academic panel to assess scientific merit and a business review panel to assess commercial potential. Applications that score highly on both technical and business merit will advance to a pitch where an external advisory committee of industry leaders, investors and serial entrepreneurs will be assembled for each track. Inventors will present and the UCLA Innovation Fund will identify fundable projects, outline key development steps for implementation, and provide additional technical and business insights.
In addition to funding, it will provide project management resources and use external consultants to help projects move forward. With the help of inventors, each Project Manager will help create a project plan, schedule and budget based on the goal. Funding depends on the achievement of these pre-established targets.
Ucla Academic Calendar 2022/2023: Important Dates
Applications are open to Principal Investigators (PIs) across campus, regardless of departmental affiliation. We look forward to many collaborative projects between research groups on campus. Proposal budgets are required to be as capital efficient as possible and depend on meeting specific project milestones. Funding will range from $50,000 to $150,000. Projects with significant commercial potential can apply for an exemption of up to $200,000 in funding. Note that the UCLA Innovation Fund is not a typical grant or block grant, and the funds exist in different ways than you can use to:
Attend Pitch Day, the final stage of the competition. The PI(s) will give a ~15 minute slide presentation defining the problem being solved, how the technology works, why the technology is superior to the alternatives, and what the development path looks like forward. There will be an additional ~15 minutes for Q&A. He will be in closed session with the UCLA Innovation Fund and the UCLA Innovation Fund Advisory Board. Other applicants will not participate.
