“As acting dean of admissions, I am pleased to see the concern our staff puts into our early action process,” said College Dean Jill Dolan. “The 743 students we admitted in the Class of 2023 are the best. They represent a wide geographic range nationally and internationally; impressive numbers of students of color; and a large group of low-income and Pell-eligible students who qualify for financial aid.”
The university’s financial aid program ensures that every admitted student has the opportunity to participate. Financial aid packages require no loans, so students can graduate debt-free. More than 60 percent of students receive financial support.
Financial aid is based solely on student need. Students of all socioeconomic backgrounds—from low-income to applicants with an annual family income as high as $250,000—can receive aid that meets their needs. The average annual grant for first-year students is $53,100, which covers 100 percent of tuition fees.

Twenty-one percent of the admitted students indicated that they would like to study engineering.
“The students we admit have excellent academic records and strong extracurricular involvement throughout their high school careers,” Dolan said. “We are very excited about the intellectual and social contributions they will make to our campus. I would like to thank Associate Dean of the College Liz Colagiuri, who serves as the Executive Director of Admissions, the entire staff of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions for their outstanding work with to choose early admissions, and the staff of the Office of Undergraduate Financial Aid for their amazing work with packaging assistance for admitted students. in this class.”

The University of Arizona has created the UA Green… [Continue reading] As cities around the world become increasingly prominent as centers of financial markets, cultural innovation, and international migration, it is more important than ever that our educational institutions enable teaching and research about urban substances. Urbanization is not only a global phenomenon of physical and cultural restructuring; itself has become the spatial effect of the distributed networks of communication, resources, economy and migration that characterize contemporary life. The emergence of this global urban culture has had complex social, aesthetic, economic, physical and political effects, many of which are still little studied or understood.
The study of cities is inherently interdisciplinary. Cities are complex entities that cannot be reduced to a number of variables. Furthermore, as cities grow and change, urbanism is no longer solely associated with dense urban centers. An increased awareness of the environmental impact of urban growth means that cities must be understood in a broader ecological context. All this makes the city a fruitful research subject and a rich means of teaching in various fields. The Princeton-Mellon Initiative seeks to advance our understanding of these issues, while exploring unforeseen possibilities.
