Miami’s First Generation Initiative seeks to create a community that celebrates the resilience, resilience and success of first-generation college students and their allies. The Student Success Center serves as a home for first-generation students in Miami, providing them with holistic support and connecting them to resources such as mentoring, career exploration and financial aid.

Enjoy a meal, share experiences, get advice and network The program is hosted by the Center for Student Diversity and Inclusion and the Center for Career Exploration and Success RSVP today so we can accurately count our food orders
Invited students are encouraged to stop by the Student Success Center to learn more about the center, pick up their First Generation swag and enjoy a treat that will satisfy their sweet tooth. Students may stay as long or as short as their schedule allows Please note that this event is by invitation only

This lunch-and-learn workshop will introduce first-generation college students to the resources of RiseFirst, a national organization that helped build Miami alumna Ramun Bartzite ’14 in her role as chief creative officer.
