Harvard Academic Calendar 2019 20 – The teachers submit the notification issued by the University of Delhi to the students in the college groups. However, the notification has not been posted on the official website of Delhi University.
This notice is said to have been issued against the recommendation of the University Grants Commission to review and study calendar in light of the Covid-19 pandemic.

According to the notification, Delhi University has suspended regular classes on March 16, 2020 due to closure due to the coronavirus pandemic. Later, online classes for various courses started from 16 May 2020 and spread on 15 May 2020. Also, with a notification issued on 14 May 2020, the University of Delhi announced the start of online assessment and revision classes. The notification sought the formation of separate classes for students of all subjects on three consecutive days from May 15, 2020 (Friday) to May 18, 2020 (Monday).

According to the announcement, the time allotted to submit the practical course evaluation, internal evaluation, dissertation, project work, field work, work, internship, etc. is scheduled from May 19, 2020 to June 12, 2020. The official notice for the extension of the deadline for submitting the following reports was issued by the Dean ( Examinations) on 22 May 2020.
According to the notification, the summer vacation of Delhi University students has been fixed from 13.06.2020 (Saturday) to 30.06.2020 (Tuesday).
Further, the announcement states that the final year students’ theory exams will begin on July 1, 2020. The examination process will also begin on July 1, 2020. The results of the final year students’ exams that will be conducted in July will be announced by July 31, 2020.

The new academic session 2020-21 will start from 1 August 2020 for 2nd and 3rd year students, while, for students taking admission in the first year, the academic session will start from 1st September 2020.
The notification also states that if any changes are made to the academic calendar, it will be communicated to the concerned people.
There is no information in the notification about the exam in the first and second year. There is still a question mark on the exams for 1st and 2nd year students. Delhi University has not yet released any announcement indicating whether the exams for first year and 2nd year students will be conducted or not. The exam pattern for 1st and 2nd year DU students is also not mentioned in any of the latest notifications.

Moreover, till date no notification of academic calendar has been updated on the official website of Delhi University. The announcement is read by teachers and professors of Delhi University and has already gone viral in various college groups.
